Day 32. Mataranka. NT. 12/06/2015

A quiet day today that started with some cleaning chores particularly Calinda, she still had the remnants of masking tape over her vents, windows and door from when we travelled to and from Oolloo Farm along the rich red gravel road, and the Eucalyptus oil worked a treat.  John spent a considerable amount of time giving the Prado a good clean as best he could with half a bucket of water a trick he learnt from his udder Brudder from another Mudder. I think it will take years to get rid of the red dust from the nooks and crannies.
After lunch we headed of to the Mataranka Homestead to have a dip in the thermal pool there.  Another lovely experience but we felt it was not quite the same as Bitter Springs where we actually floated down the stream. The setting around the pool was amazing and we actually saw the spring where the beautiful aqua water originates. Interestingly, the spring produces 32 million litres of water per day.  Just seeing it bubbling out of the ground was awesome.
Back home for a lovely roast lamb dinner we shared with Rod and Jude, then early to bed as we leave for Katherine tomorrow.  Have a look at the map and see how far we have come already.  Australia is a HUGE place.
