Left Alice Springs to a fine day with a tail wind on the Stuart Highway and travelled some 160 kms to meet our friends from the village Kay and Ian. The drive to the Olloo farm was some 40kms of red dust so before we left the bitumen we masked all the windows, vents doors, drain holes to keep the dust out.
Some half hour later we arrived at the station home and were welcomed by Kay's daughter Jennie and Chris the Station Manager. Miles from anywhere but an oasis in the desert. Mango Trees, beautiful green and manicured lawns. The house is a queens-lander design and we have access to the shower/toilet next to the van. Chris made himself busy "enyoing" Calinda from top to bottom.
An inspection of the outbuildings reminded us of MRE and brother Peter would have had a ball picking through the shelves and shelves of plant and equipment.
We had a grand performance by brudder Chris was absolutely outstanding followed by an even more amazing sunset.
Kay and Ian really have a special piece of nature. The serenity of it all.
