The day started off cool but with promise of sunshine later. We had a very lovely drive along the Brand Highway that was extremely interesting. We saw again huge numbers of agricultural properties growing wheat, barley and canola and a few beef cattle stations along with sheep stations. Gently sweeping hills that also had fantastic displays of wildflowers. Our journey took us around the perimeter of Perth itself and down towards Fremantle where we actually bypassed the city itself and directly onto the highway that took us to Woodman Point where we will stay for the next 9 nights.
After setting up we had some lunch then went for a drive to find the nearest shopping centre as we needed to stock up the fridge and cupboards again. A short drive to the beachfront as John needed to find a good spot for when he and Don spend some time fishing.
An early dinner before joining the residents who live permanently in this lovely park at their Bingo Night where we had some success. We were warmly welcomed and met some very lovely people.
