Day 95. Fremantle. 14/08/2015

Awoke to a sunny morning with no wind at all, and after breakfast decided to shift camp. We were most annoyed at the bird droppings on both the car and caravan, and because our fellow travellers (Rod and Jude, Heather and Don) would not actually be camped on the same side of the park as us when they arrive on Saturday, we felt it would be much better if we changed to a site nearer to them and away from the big trees that seem to be loaded with birds.
So, we packed everything up again to be transported to the other side of the park, and after some tedious manouvering John managed to fit the van on the selected site. We are very pleased that we moved and feel much happier with our choice.
After lunch we drove to the nearby beach and John found a good fishing spot. We then drove into Fremantle and spent some time at the famous Fremantle Markets where there was plenty of activity and much to hold our interest.
We strolled down Cappuccino Strip to select a restaurant for my 70th birthday dinner and made some inquiries as to menu etc. We have made a choice so we can only hope that it will be to our satisfaction on the night.
We then visited the Fremantle Dockers Football Club and I was very disappointed to hear that had I been at the club this morning when the team was training, I could have had the opportunity to have had my photo taken with Pav (Matthew Pavlich), my favourite player. There was a great deal of hype in Fremantle today as the supporters are gearing up for the Derby against West Coast Eagles on Sunday.
Dinner, then watched footy - Magpies defeated by Swans.

At the Fremantle market - vibrant.
This guy is the best salesman - Wendy couldn't resist.
Home of the Fremantle Dockers - looking for Pav.
Nat to win the Brownlow?
